3 months agoStayed here recently and honestly, it was such a refreshing break from the city life i have had. The view is absolutely stunning and you get a clear sight of both the Lebong valley and the Kanchenjunga range right from the homestay. The owners are super friendly and down to earth. They helped us out with little local hurdles and even guided us on where to go and what to avoid. Wifi is available (and works decently well considering the location), which was reassuring for me. The food was really good they can cook Nepali, Indian, Chinese, and Bengali. They provide all three meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), and everything tastes like proper home-cooked comfort food. There's also a small fireplace at the homestay where you can have your own BBQ hangout when requested from the owners. The rooms were clean, cozy, and had a nice warmth to them. Room heaters are available during winter, though a few bedrooms didn’t have mirrors yet which isnt a big deal but worth noting. Since it’s in a village area, the air and water feel noticeably cleaner and fresher than what you’d get closer to town. The bathroom is also well maintained and clean. (there's no bathtub though) At night, you can see the lights from parts of Lebong and the whole Namchi area twinkling like a “starry night on land.” Soo if you’re into nature or bugs, you’ll love it here as there’s a variety of fauna and A LOT of interesting insects that come out after dark so keep in mind to keep the doors and windows shut around dusk. They even told us there’s a pool nearby for which entry was around 150rs when we stayed, perfect for an afternoon swim, or night if you can handle the cold. Traveling to Darjeeling town or Lebong takes about 30 minutes, and the owners can help arrange a vehicle if you need one. Overall, it’s a peaceful, friendly, and scenic stay perfect if you want to experience the quieter, more authentic side of Darjeeling. ☺️☺️

3 months agoI been there recently with my family and I love it. You can see the kanchenjunga peak at sunrise too that we didn't have to go to tiger hill to watch the golden peak. I would love to visit again .
